Nakijin Castle
Nakijin Castle was a castle of feudal lord of the Hokuzan Kingdom in Sanzan Period. The trade with China and Southeast Asia prospered and ceramic ware was unearthed by excavational investigation. It is telling that since King Sho hashi of Chuzen unified three principalities in 1416, Nakijinjo Castle was a castle of feudal lord of the custody send by Ryukyu kingdom. It is telling that a stone wall is Nozura-zumi that stacking natural stones as they are that is the oldest construction. It is famous for the Hikan cherries which bloom in northern Okinawa between mid-January and early February.
